I started crocheting years ago, before children...so about 30 years ago. I crocheted afghans & tops & baby blankets for friends & relatives. I learned when I was little, by watching a couple of my great aunts crochet the edges on pillow cases & afghans, as well.

Once I had my daughter, I quit. I was also teaching dance at the same time. Then four years later I had my son. Life was just too busy to keep at it, although I did make a few afghans here & there for myself & a few family members. Then I started making afghans for children of friends that were getting married. A masculine one for the groom & a feminine one for the bride. They were a hit, & so I started selling them.

A health issue kept me from dancing for a few months so I picked up my hook & started crocheting anything that I could get a picture of! I soon had a “stock” built up & decided to do a couple craft shows. I started to get orders for things & branched out to sell my things in a local shop. I then moved into The Plus Boutique which was then located at the Hartville Market Place. Soon after displaying my items with Tammi, at the Market Place, we became business partners & moved the shop to downtown historical Hartville. We are now called The HeartVille Boutique.
