Skylar Laine Home Décor up-cycles and revamps used furniture and home décor accents.  I take pride in all my work and only use quality chalk paint and superior glazes, waxes and other finishing products on all my pieces.  I refinish dressers, chests, lamps, headboards, tables, chairs, mirrors, frames, antiques and just about anything you can think of that makes a house YOUR home.  I enjoy searching for those "one of a kind" unique conversation pieces that you don't see anywhere else, people that visit will ask "Where did you get that?"  Sometimes by just changing the color of your furniture, adding rustic southern accents or giving it that "shabby chic" look, is just enough to give an old piece that new style you've been wanting, without discarding it!

   Some personal information about myself - my name is Sherri Tamilio- not Skylar Laine as some may think.  I have always loved the name Skylar, therefore it has become by alias!  I was born and raised in Akron Ohio and have lived in the Akron/Canton area most of my life, except when I was fortunate enough to live in California for 4 years and travel most of the West coast in my younger days.  After working in the corporate environment for nearly 28 years, I finally decided what I wanted to be - an artisan, something totally different than my prior line of work!  I am still new to this industry and have only been painting for about 6 months.  The flexibility to work from home, treasure hunt for those one-of-a-kind pieces and have my furniture/home décor displayed at the wonderful Heartville Boutique is -EXTREMELY rewarding and hopefully I will grow and expand my business further! Special requests and orders are always welcome.
